FixShot Support

Help with masking, analyses, purchases, AI permission, and your account.

Privacy Policy →

Getting started

Drop an error screenshot onto FixShot, paste one from the clipboard, or choose a file. FixShot finds sensitive details on your Mac first and shows what it masked.

Reviewing masks

Check every mask before you continue. Drag on the image to hide more, and select a mask to move, resize, or restore it. Automatic masking can miss small or stylized text, so the preview you approve is what matters.

Standard and Private modes

Standard sends the masked image. Private sends only the redacted text FixShot recognized. The confirmation screen shows exactly what will be sent before anything leaves your Mac.

Free analyses and buying more

Your first 5 analyses are free with no account. To buy 20 more, open Account, choose Continue with Apple, then buy. Purchased analyses are a one-time purchase, not a subscription.

A purchase is still being confirmed

Apple keeps a record of your payment, so do not buy again. FixShot keeps checking automatically, and you can choose Check purchase status. If it is still not confirmed after 15 minutes, email us with the purchase date.

AI permission

FixShot asks before it sends anything to OpenAI for the first time. You can turn this permission off in Settings at any time; analyses then stop until you allow it again.

Copy or save the masked image

Use Export to copy the masked image or save it as a PNG. Only the masked version is exported, without the original image's metadata.

Delete your account

Open Account and choose Delete Account. FixShot signs you out on this Mac, revokes Sign in with Apple, and removes the account links. Purchase and credit records may be kept for refunds and accounting.
